excentos provides you two environments so that you can effectively test and optimize one version of the Product Guide, even while you already productively use itanother one. See which environment should be used for which use case in the following sections.

The Stage environment should be used for testing the Product Guide in your stage or test system. Use Publishing to the Stage allows you to test and preview your changes . After that you in a similar setup as your shop or website. If everything works as expected you can publish the "ready-to-use" Product Guide to the Live (Service) environment.
