The Template Data Files and Example Data Files help you to understand and fulfill the data feed requirements. As mentioned in the introduction of Integrate your product data, this documentation is targeted towards users who want to build Product Guides with the excentos Workbench entirely themselves. For all other cases, excentos supports a wide variety of different data formats and structures. Contact the excentos support team to get help getting the most out of your existing data feed, no matter how complex.

Template Data Files

If you start creating your Product Guide and product data from scratch, it is advised to download one of the template files (download below). The template data file contains all recommended data fields and helps you to fulfill the data feed requirements. This helps you to create a clean and nice structure for your product data. Additionally, you can add further data attributes as columns and create the product information per product as rows.

To download one file, just click on the file link below and your web browser will save the file to your default download folder. Template files are available in the CSV and ODS (LibreOffice) format.

Example Data Files

If you are not sure how to build up your product data in order to make it work with the excentos Product Guides, you can take a look at the Example Data Files.

The bike_data_example.ods file contains some Do's (green highlighted cells) and bike_data_example_donts.ods includes some Don'ts (red highlighted cells). All highlighted examples contain a short description to get you a better understanding which kind of data preparation is needed and suitable and which data should not be included in your data feed.

Info

Don't forget to convert the bike_data_example file from ODS to CSV before you upload this file into the workbench (see Export the Product Data File into CSV) or directly use our bike_data_example.csv.
